Student Maths Society

The Maths Society has changed hands this year and is ready for a great academic year full of sociable events! Anyone who is interested in joining the society should sign up at the Student Union level 7 or if you know Samantha Fraser or Hazel Scott let us know. It is ONLY £1 membership fee so no excuse not to.

This is a completely social society for anyone at the University of Strathclyde, in particular those studying maths — but the people you meet could always help you if you’re struggling!

Throughout the year we will be holding a few social events, namely pub golf and perhaps a
sub crawl. We will also be holding meetings once a month and meeting casually at 12 Hour Tuesday and TFI so that everyone can get together and meet new people.

Being a society member is a great way to boost your CV and we are currently looking for representatives for each year group. Please invite your friends if you think they will be interested, and make sure you join our Facebook page.

At the moment we are organising a Pub Golf night out with the Physics Society on Tuesday the 8th of November. All the details about it are on the Maths Society Facebook page, so check it out!!

Treasurer and President of the Maths Society)
