Colloquium: thin-film flows

The departmental colloquium series gets underway this Wednesday (1530 in LT908) with a talk by Dr Yvonne Stokes (University of Adelaide) on “Thin film flows in helical channels”. An abstract for this talk, as well as details of upcoming colloquia, can be found on the department website.

The colloquia tend to be related to research topics of interest in the department, and they are open to anybody who’s interested. (Students shouldn’t feel intimidated: a well-designed talk is generally understandable by everyone for at least half of its 50 minute duration — and if you do get lost after that, you can rest assured that you are not alone!)
